Sponsorship

The extraordinary expansion of Stratford Thunderbirds, now with more than 230 players, reflects the growing popularity of the game nationally. Hundreds of local girls from a number of schools travel the length and breadth of the country, meeting and bonding with each other, keeping fit, growing in confidence and achieving great things… and not just winning trophies and medals.

Thunderbirds has an extensive band of willing volunteers including Team Managers and a committee, working within budgets and strict statutory regulations, to keep a busy netball schedule on track. To continue the development of the club and to keep it affordable for members’ families, Thunderbirds needs more financial assistance.

Our teams play in leagues in Stratford Upon Avon, Redditch, Walsall and Worcestershire. The clubs’ summer programme takes teams to Manchester, Nottingham, Newbury, Bedford, Bromsgrove and Wolverhampton to play against some of the best netballers in the country. Our elite junior players ended 2019 as respective U14 and U16 champions of the Warwickshire Cup and will represent the county in the West Midlands Regionals in 2020.

This is only achieved with qualified and highly dedicated coaches working with the teams for a total of 16 hours a week training, and coaching them on match days. Training fees help cover the cost of the coaches, and the hire of training facilities. However, there are many other costs, including equipment, league and tournament fees, insurance, safeguarding and admin costs to be met.

Stratford ThunderbirdsFriends of Thunderbirds

From £240 per year

To say thank you we will: include your company logo with hyperlinks on our website; shout about your support across our social media channels, including Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. We’ll also show your logo on the programme for our Awards Evening.

Awards Evening

From £500

Thunderbirds would like to stage an Awards Evening in 2020 for players and their families to celebrate the League titles and tournament medals won. More importantly the event would acknowledge the progress individuals and teams have made while recognising good sportsmanship, behaviour, effort and raw talent, alongside the work of the numerous volunteers who make the netball club a reality.

We can offer lots of exposure for companies who could help provide for the event with donated or subsidised services, or who would like to help contribute to the cost of the event (such as venue hire, refreshments or entertainment). You will receive all of the beneifts associated with being ‘Friends of Thunderbirds’ and we will issue a press release to local newspapers. For contributions of more than £1,500 we will also create a short video interview for use in social media.

Gazebo

The club has a very busy schedule, travelling up and down the country to compete in all day tournaments against some of the best clubs in the country. We regularly enter tournaments in Manchester, Nottingham, Newbury, Bedford, Birmingham, Bromsgrove and Wolverhampton. Many of these established clubs have gazebos with their club names and badges emblazoned across them, which act as a necessary meeting point and protection from the extremes of the British weather. It has not gone unnoticed that these gazebos also provide an excellent opportunity for advertising! Our club needs several to cope with the number of teams we enter into tournaments.

If your company sponsors a 3x6m team gazebo we will feature your company logo on custom printed panels. You will beneft from an enhanced publicity package including all the benefits offered to ‘Friends of Thunderbirds’ along with a press release. We will also create a short video interview with the sponsor and a club rep in front of a gazebo for use in social media.

Team Managers Kit

Our Team Managers are parent volunteers who put the coaches’ training into action every match day. They dutifully mobilise, supervise, motivate their team, collect match fees and administer first aid to girls in their charge. To be easily identified, and suitably prepared for all seasons, they need a club uniform. But as they are volunteers, giving up lots of their time, we do not want to charge them for this uniform so we are looking for a company to sponsor this kit for all our Team Managers.

The company sponsoring our Team Mangers would have their company logo featured on the kit worn by the approx 20 Team Managers, which would include polo shirts, hoodies, jackets and holdalls. In addition, you will be promoted as a ‘Friend of Thunderbirds’ Your logo will be in a prominent position on our Awards Evening programme and we will put out a press release. We will also create a short video interview with the sponsor and one of the managers in full kit for use on social media.
